FOOTWEAR CARE TIPS

Leather Care:
Leather is a natural, "living" material that requires periodic conditioning to extend the life of your boots.
It is recommended to condition the leather every 6 months or before extended trips.
Even if your boots have a waterproof GORE-TEX® lining, the outer leather still needs care.

Drying:
After walking:
Remove the insoles and open the tongue to allow proper ventilation.
Insoles absorb a lot of moisture and will dry faster when removed.

If boots are very wet:
Insert newspaper into the toe box – it will help absorb moisture and maintain the shape of the boot.
Remove the newspaper after 24 hours.

Do not place boots near a campfire or heater!
Intense heat can damage the leather and significantly shorten the lifespan of your boots.

Cleaning:
For daily dirt:
Wipe with a damp cloth and lukewarm water.
Insoles can also be cleaned this way.

For heavily soiled boots:
Use LOWA Shoe Clean cleaner.
After cleaning, the leather pores are more open – this is the ideal time to apply a leather conditioner.

Storage:
Store leather boots in a dry, well-ventilated place.
Avoid damp basements or the trunk of a car, as these conditions can damage the leather.
